Single Member:  $300 or Couple in the same household: $500
Membership entitles you to participate in five (5) book/author luncheons during the course of the season.  Lunch reservations are $85 per person and the fee includes a copy of the book featured at the luncheon.

Student Benefactor: a gift of $1,000 or more includes general membership benefits, but also directly contributes to hosting a student group from a Coachella Valley high school or college. Benefactors are invited to join one of the pre-luncheon discussions with an author and students and will be recognized at that day’s program. Benefactors will also be invited to a cocktail reception with one of our featured speakers.*

Library Benefactor: a gift of $1,000 or more includes general membership benefits, but also directly contributes to LSD’s grant program to the Coachella Valley libraries.  Benefactors will be a table host for one or more librarians at our May, 2024 luncheon, be recognized at the luncheon, and be invited to a cocktail reception with one of our featured speakers.*

Patron: $1,000
This “plus” donation to the organization helps ensure the financial stability of the LSD by supporting its operating expenses such as insurance, professional bookkeeping services and website maintenance. Patrons receive priority seating at each luncheon and preference for placement at the Speakers Table at one of our monthly luncheons. A special cocktail reception with an author will be planned for Patrons, Benefactors and Sponsors.*

Sponsor: $5,000
Sponsor support is directly responsible for our ability to attract award-winning authors to our Literary Luncheons. General Membership revenue alone will not sustain the organization. A leadership gift at this level ensures the ongoing success and stability of the Literary Society of the Desert. Sponsors receive priority seating at each luncheon and guaranteed guest privileges for each event.  Membership in this category offers the opportunity to join the Speakers Table at one luncheon, attend a private cocktail reception with one of the authors, and be our guest at an exclusive sponsor dinner with one author.*
